The AMP Retirement Adequacy Report : June - December 2009
The AMP Retirement Adequacy Index compares the savings of Australians against a target for an adequate income in retirement – set at 65% of an individual’s pre-retirement living standards. The Index uses data from more than 328,000 AMP members, along with estimates of the age pension (for those who qualify) and ‘other investments’ (excluding the family home) to estimate whether Australians are on track for an adequate retirement.

The Growing Cost of Obesity in 2008 : three years on
In 2006, Access Economics released a report for Diabetes Australia. That report was quite conservative in its projections of obesity prevalence and estimates of attributable fractions for conditions associated with obesity. This report seeks to utilise new data that have become available subsequently to update the estimates of the prevalence, AFs and cost of obesity for the year 2008.

The Economic Impact of Cerebral Palsy in Australia in 2007
The analysis in this report, commissioned by Cerebral Palsy Australia, underscores that lifetime costs are higher for conditions with onset earlier in life. Compared to other health conditions, cerebral palsy is more common in any year than the most common types of cancer, stroke, eating disorders, appendicitis or road traffic accidents; is in the top five most costly conditions on a per capita basis of 15 conditions studied by Access Economics and is a condition with a higher disability burden than being blind, deaf, having severe asthma or diabetes.
